SU Ranked 122nd in Learfield Directors’ Cup Standings

Susquehanna University has finished 122nd in the final 2015-16 Division III Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings.CLEVELAND, Ohio –

The Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports (nine men's, nine women's).

Susquehanna, which finished the year with 163.00 points, was 22 places behind fellow Landmark Conference institution Catholic University, the highest ranked Landmark member. Elizabethtown finished 108th overall, giving the Landmark three institutions in the top 125 of the 323-team field.

This past year, Susquehanna picked up two Landmark Conference titles – women's swimming & diving and baseball. The men's basketball squad earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament where the team earned one victory. The baseball team went on to capture four wins in its NCAA Tournament while the track & field team boasted two All-Americans in Jared Minori (javelin) and Gabby Alguire (javelin).

Last month, Susquehanna also won the 2015-16 Landmark Conference President's Cup for the second time in three years.
