Athletics Programs Recognized for Excellence in Academics

SELINSGROVE—College Factual has recognized several of Susquehanna University's athletics teams as exceptional for students who want to play competitively while pursuing a first-rate education.

Susquehanna is named as one of the top schools for scholar-athletes in Division III men's lacrosse, men's basketball, women's softball and women's volleyball in College Factual's 2017 National Student-Athlete Rankings.

Men's lacrosse and basketball ranked nationally in the top 8 percent and 10 percent, respectively. Women's softball and volleyball ranked nationally in the top 3 percent and 10 percent, respectively.

"We believe that intercollegiate athletics promotes character traits that lead to positive personal development and success in later life. Susquehanna offers 23 varsity sports programs, all of which compete in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). University President L. Jay Lemons serves as chair of the NCAA Division III President's Council.
