SU's Tyler Reichard Earns First-Team All-Region Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Susquehanna University's senior Tyler Reichard (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) earned a spot on the 2009 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings NCAA Division III all-Mid-Atlantic Region team on May 18 as a first-team outfielder.

Reichard batted .392 with seven homeruns this year. He also scored 42 runs to tie for the team lead. His 56 hits, 26 walks, 90 total bases and 12 stolen bases (on 12 attempts) led the Crusaders, while he ranked in the top 10 in the Landmark Conference in 2009 in homers, runs, hits, walks, total bases, stolen bases, triples (two), on-base percentage (.494) and slugging percentage (.629). He was an all-Landmark outfielder in both 2008 and 2009, and in 2007, he was honored as the Rookie of the Year and as an all-conference first baseman by the Middle Atlantic Commonwealth Conference.

Despite playing just three seasons, Reichard finished his Susquehanna career tied for the school record with 12 triples. He also ranks in the top five in SU history in walks (64), runs (100), hits (152), runs batted in (84) and batting average (.376). He finished his career 27-for-27 in stolen-base attempts.
