Baseball Pegged for a Fourth-Place Finish in Preseason Poll

MADISON, N.J. – After making its fourth-straight Landmark Conference Tournament appearance, the Susquehanna baseball team was picked to finish fourth in the 2012 preseason poll. Catholic and Moravian tied for first in the poll with 58 points, followed by Scranton.

The Crusaders lost just six student-athletes to graduation last year and return four All-Conference players for the upcoming season. SU went 14-26 overall last year, including an 8-10 mark in league games.

Susquehanna opened its season last weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C, going 1-2 overall with a split against Richard Stockton and a weekend-ending loss to Ramapo. The team’s home opener is slated for Mar. 16 against Muhlenberg.
