Boyd, Dyer Selected as Super Crusaders

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Baseball and women's lacrosse are represented as junior Matt Boyd (Camp Hill, Pa. / Camp Hill) and senior Erin Dyer (West Caldwell, N.J.  /James Caldwell) have been selected as the SAAC Super Crusaders of the Week for the period ending March 18.

On Sunday, Boyd pitched all nine innings for a complete game shutout victory over Merchant Marine (W, 12-0). He only allowed two hits and struck out four Mariners in the contest.

His only hits were to the first batter of the game and later in the seventh inning.

In 2012, Boyd is 1-1 with a miniscule 0.53 ERA in 17 innings of work. He has struck out 14 and scattered eight hits this season.

Dyer scored her 100th career goal on Sunday at Alvernia (W, 20-11). She also posted a goal in the 20-6 win over Marymount (Va.) on Wednesday.

This season she has started all five games, has 10 goals and two assists for 12 points. Dyer has 102 career goals for the Crusaders.

She has led her team to a 5-0 record, the best start under head coach Laura Moan.
