The Week Ahead in SU Sports

Week of: April 2-9

Baseball: The Crusaders (12-11, 2-4) remain on the road, traveling to Albright for a non-conference game on Tuesday, April 3 at 4:00 p.m. Live stats can be found here.

SU hosts Landmark foe Scranton on Saturday, April 7 in a doubleheader starting at 12:00 p.m. They finish off the series on Monday, April 9 at 3:00 p.m. Live stats can be found here.

SU played at Moravian this past weekend, going 1-2 in the series. In a 5-4 win on Saturday, Ethan Rieker (Lancaster, Pa. / Manheim Twp.) went 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and three RBI. He smashed another homer in an 8-6 defeat in game three on Sunday.

Spencer Hotaling (Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove Area) picked up the victory on the mound in relief and Matt Smith (Blue Ridge Summit, Pa. / Wyoming Seminary) earned the save.

Men's Lacrosse: SU (5-6, 1-2) travels to conference opponent Washington & Jefferson on Friday, April 6 for a 4:00 p.m. start. Live stats can be accessed here.

The Crusaders dropped a conference contest to #19 Goucher on Saturday 9-5. Dustin Breakey (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) and Billy Spack (Arlington, Va. / Yorktown) both had two goals in defeat.

Women's Lacrosse: The Crusaders (9-0) host non-conference opponent Frostburg State on Tuesday, April 3 at 4:00 p.m. Live stats can be found here.

SU travels to Landmark foe Scranton on Thursday, April 5 at 6:00 p.m. in its conference opener. Live stats can be found here.

The Crusaders remained undefeated on the year after beating Shenandoah 16-8 on Sunday. Emma Ehler (Chatham, N.J. / Chatham / Towson) scored five goals, Michelle McGinniss (Randolph, N.J. / Randolph) scored four and Brynn Reid (West Grove, Pa. / Avon Grove) recorded a hat trick to continue the best start ever under head coach Laura Moan.

Tennis: Both men's and women's team travel to Moravian in Landmark Conference matches on Friday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m. The matches will be played at DeSales University.

The men (3-8, 2-1) defeated conference opponents Goucher and Merchant Marine at home, with both matches resulting in 7-2 wins.

The women (6-4, 1-1) beat Goucher 5-4 as the match was suspended due to darkness and finished on Friday.

Golf:  The women's golf team will compete at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational held at Hanover Country Club in Abbottstown, Pa. on Thursday, April 5 at 12:00 p.m.

The women placed eighth overall at the McDaniel Spring Invitational over the weekend. Lindsay Kass (Chester, N.J. / West Morris Mendham) and Lauren Fitzgerald (Randolph, N.J. / Randolph) both shot team-best 87.
