Baseball: The Crusaders (15-24) host non-conference opponent Gettysburg on Monday, April 30 at 4:00 p.m. for the 2012 season finale. Live stats can be found here.
Softball: SU (23-11) hosts non-conference opponent Misericordia on Tuesday, May 1 at 3:00 p.m. before gearing up for the Landmark Conference playoffs this weekend. Live stats can be found here.
The Crusaders earned the number-one seed after sweeping Scranton on Saturday. The conference tournament begins on Friday, May 4 as SU plays Catholic at 11:00 a.m. Live stats for all the contests can be found here.
Kathryn Gilbert (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week after collecting seven hits in four wins last week.
Women’s Lacrosse: The Crusaders (14-1) host Drew on Wednesday, May 2 at 4:00 p.m. in the Landmark Conference semifinals. Live stats can be found here.
SU earned the number-two seed in the playoffs after beating the
Rangers in Madison, N.J. on Saturday, 16-12. Emma Ehler
(Chatham, N.J. / Chatham) and Michelle McGinniss
(Randolph, N.J. / Randolph) both scored five goals apiece
in the victory.
Ehler was named Landmark Offensive Player of the Week following her performance in SU’s wins over McDaniel and Drew.
Track & Field: Individual male and female athletes will be competing at Penn State for a last chance meet to qualify for NCAAs on Saturday, May 5.
Ken Schetroma (Elysburg, Pa. / Southern Columbia) was named the Landmark Conference Male Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year after winning the shot put at the conference championship with a toss of 14.73m. He also won his second consecutive Male Field Athlete of the Week award following the performance.
Both teams finished second at the conference championship in
Bethlehem and Marty Owens and his staff were named Male Outdoor
Coaching Staff of the Year.
