Crusader Baseball to Host Third-Annual Clay Shoot Fundraiser

DALMATIA, Pa. – The Susquehanna baseball team will host its third-annual Clay Shoot fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Martz’s Gap View Hunting Preserve in Dalmatia, Pa.

Registration and refreshments begin at 8 a.m. and the event will take place rain or shine. The morning session begins at 9 a.m. and the afternoon session starts 1 p.m. The shoot is limited to 108 shooters (54 per session) on a first-come, first-served basis.

A single-shooter entry fee is $60 which includes orientation and safety guidelines, 75 rounds of clay shooting, on-course refreshments, a pig roast lunch, prizes and more. The lunch is served between the two sessions from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The first place winner receives $125 while the runner-up receives $50.

An Annie Oakley Competition, an optional event, is also scheduled for that day. The event begins at 11:45 a.m. and is an additional $20 fee. The first place winner receives $75 while the second place finisher receives $25.

Shooters are required to bring their own shot gun and shells (although shells will be available for purchase on location). Eye protection is mandatory and ear protection is recommended.

Sponsorship opportunities for the event are available. A sponsorship of the entire event costs $2500 and includes use of an organization’s logo or name on event materials (website, flyer, program, press release), large signage at the lunch pavilion, signage at Martz’s wobble-shoot station and entry for a six-person group.

An associate tournament sponsorship is $500 and includes a smaller listing of an organization’s logo or name on the large sign at the pavilion, signage at one of 10 other shooting stations and on the same event materials listed above.

Station sponsorship costs $300 and includes an organization’s logo or name on signage at a shooting station and a listing on both the event program and website.

An event-recognition sponsorship costs $100 and includes a listing on both the event program and website.
