SU Baseball Picked to Finish Sixth in Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md. – The Susquehanna baseball team has been selected to finish sixth in the 2013 Landmark Conference preseason poll released on Thursday.

The Crusaders received 18 points followed by Juniata in seventh with 13 points. Catholic was picked to win the conference, gaining 48 points and two first-place tallies. Moravian came in second place with 45 points and three first-place votes.

Scranton received 36 points and two first-place votes to finish in third. Merchant Marine and Drew were voted fourth and fifth, earning 31 and 26 points, respectively.

SU, led by eighth-year head coach Denny Bowers ’00, kicks-off the season at No. 23 Shenandoah on Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m.
