SU Baseball Receiving Votes in National Polls

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – In the midst of a school-record 13-game winning streak, the Susquehanna baseball team is currently receiving votes in the Top 25 poll as well as the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball (ABCA) Division III poll.

The Crusaders (13-3, 6-0 Landmark) reeled in eight votes and join Moravian (one vote) as the only Landmark schools in the D3 poll. In the ABCA poll, SU earned 10 votes.

SU swept Merchant Marine Academy over the weekend, including a 15-inning, 11-10 victory on Sunday. Following the sweep, freshman right fielder Taylor Luckenbill (Pottsville, Pa. / Nativity BVM) was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

SU is scheduled to play five non-conference home games this week, starting with Neumann on Thursday, March 27 at 4 p.m.

The poll can be found here and the ABCA poll here.

The Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly. Full members of NCAA Division III are eligible.
