Baseball Heading to Moosic for NCAA Regional Action

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 56-team field for the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament has been announced and the Susquehanna baseball team will travel to PNC Field in Moosic, Pa. on May 14-18 in the regional round. SU will face Keystone on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Misericordia will serve as the host institution.

The Crusaders will be joined by fellow Landmark Conference opponent Moravian in addition to Rowan, Baldwin Wallace, Misericordia, Keystone, Wesleyan (Conn.) and Haverford.  SU defeated Moravian one week ago to capture its first-ever Landmark Conference title and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Two teams in Susquehanna's region are nationally ranked in No. 6 Rowan and No. 22/24 Moravian. The Crusaders are ranked seventh in the Mid-Atlantic Region poll with Misericordia eighth.

Six teams will compete at four regional sites and eight teams will compete at four regional sites. All regionals will use a double-elimination format. Winners of the eight regional tournaments will qualify for the double-elimination championship at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisc., May 23-27.
