Palsi, McElaney Named SAAC/Pepsi Super Crusaders

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna baseball player Bryan Palsi and women's lacrosse player Annie McElaney have been named SAAC/Pepsi Super Crusaders for the week ending April 3.

Palsi had at least two hits in all five games last week as the team finished 3-2 overall. He totaled 14 hits, four runs scores and 12 RBI's. He hit for a .636 average and had a .636 on-base percentage to go along with a .909 slugging percentage. He finished with four doubles and one triple while striking out once in 22 at-bats.

This season, Palsi has started all 23 games in which he has played and is batting. .389 with 37 hits, 14 runs scored and 22 RBI's. He has eight doubles and one triple for a .495 slugging percentage.

Susquehanna is 15-9 overall with an 8-1 mark in Landmark Conference games. The Crusaders return to action on Tuesday, April 5 when the team travels to Keystone for a 3:30 p.m. game.

McElaney had five goals in each of SU's two games this past week while also adding three assists in a 14-11 loss at Lebanon Valley. She finished the week with 13 points, four draw controls, one caused turnover and 19 shots – 17 of which were on goal. She also went 2-3 on free position shots.

This season, McElaney leads the team in goals (26), assists (11) and points (37). She has five free position goals, 54 shots, 14 ground balls, nine draw controls and eight caused turnovers.

The Crusaders are 3-5 overall with a 1-0 mark in the Landmark Conference. The team returns to the field on Wednesday, April 6 when SU hosts Landmark Conference rival Moravian at 4:00 p.m.
