SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna baseball player Zach Leone and women's lacrosse player Kelcie Ehler have been named SAAC/Pepsi Super Crusaders for the week ending April 10.
Leone totaled five hits in a two-game sweep of Catholic on Sunday. He had at least two hits in each game and his three hits in the second games accounted for half of SU's hits as a team for that game. He drove in five runs and had three doubles and no strikeouts. On the day, Leone finished with a .625 on-base percentage and a 1.143 slugging percentage.
This season, Leone has started all 24 games in which he has played and is batting .447 with a team-high 32 RBI's. He has 42 hits, 24 runs scored, 13 doubles (team high), one triple and two home runs. He boasts a .670 slugging percentage and a .505 on-base percentage. He is three for three in stolen bases.
Susquehanna is 17-9 overall with a 10-1 mark in Landmark Conference action and remain at home on Tuesday, April 12 for a 4:00 p.m. make-up game against Catholic.
Ehler finished the week with 10 goals and four assists for 14 points. She had four goals and two assists in a 20-8 win over Moravian College and added six goals and two assists in a win over the University of Scranton. Her 10 goals came on 14 shots as she was 2-5 on free-position shots and she tallied two caused turnovers, as well.
This season, Ehler is third on the team in points (28), tied for second in goals (20) and is third in assists (8). She has 51 shots, two game-winning goals and six caused turnovers.
The Crusaders are 5-5 overall with a 2-0 mark in Landmark Conference action. The team returns to action on Wednesday, April 13 when SU hosts Dickinson for a 4:00 p.m. game.
