SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna baseball player Bryan Palsi and softball player Leigh Ann Greenwald have been named SAAC/Pepsi Super Crusaders for the week ending April 24.
Palsi started all four games last week as SU went 3-1. He hit for a .500 average with four hits, two runs scored and five RBI's. He tallied one double and walked four times for a .692 on-base percentage and a .625 slugging percentage. He ended the week without a single error at third base.
This season, Palsi has started all 34 games in which he has played and has a .405 batting average with 51 hits, 24 runs scored and 38 RBI's. He has 11 doubles, two triples and two home runs for a .571 slugging percentage. In 126 at-bats, he has tallied 12 walks and only 10 strikeouts for a .458 on-base percentage.
SU is 24-11 overall with a 16-3 Landmark Conference record and an 11-1 mark at home. The Crusaders return to action on Thursday, April 28 for a 3:30 p.m. game at Keystone.
Greenwald hit for a .500 average over the course of four games last week. She had six hits, five runs scored and two RBI's. She tallied a .500 on-base percentage and .583 slugging percentage.
This season, Greenwald has started 31 of 32 games and has a .323 batting average with 31 hits, 23 runs scored and 13 RBI's. She has totaled six doubles, one triple and two home runs for a .469 slugging percentage.
The Crusaders are 20-12 overall with an 8-3 mark in Landmark Conference action. The team hits the road on Tuesday, April 26 to travel to Gettysburg for a doubleheader starting at 3:00 p.m.
