Baseball Heading to New York Regional

AUBURN, N.Y. – The Susquehanna baseball team has learned it will face Frostburg State in its first game of the NCAA New York Region. SU and the Bobcats square off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18.

The Crusaders are seeded fourth in the region with a 29-14 record after winning the Landmark Conference title on Saturday. Frostburg State is 30-12 and earned an at-large bid to the tournament out of the Capital Athletic Conference.

The other teams in the region are host SUNY Cortland, Ramapo, Union (N.Y.) and Castleton. The regional tournament will be held at Falcon Park in Auburn, N.Y.

The Crusaders are making their second NCAA Regional appearance in three years. In 2014, SU won two NCAA regional games to finish the season with a program-record 30 victories.
