Baseball Finishes Season 15th in Nation

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna baseball team finished its historic 2016 season ranked 15th in the D3Baseball.com national poll.

The 2016 national champion Trinity (Texas) earned the No. 1 spot with its 44-7 record. SU ended its season with a program-record 33 victories, including four in the NCAA Tournament. Susquehanna captured its second Landmark Conference title in three years.

The team boasted seven All-Landmark Conference athletes, including Player of the Year Justin Cassinelli, who went on to earn All-America status along with teammate Zach Leone. In addition, head coach Denny Bowers and his assistants were named the Landmark Conference Coaching Staff of the Year.
