TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna University has jumped three spots to take the lead in the Landmark Conference President’s Trophy winter standings.
The Crusaders were fourth following the fall season in which it averaged 7.75 points and moved into first after a championship in women’s swimming & diving and runner-up finishes in men’s swimming and diving, men’s basketball and both men’s and women’s indoor track & field. The women’s basketball team also earned points as it made it to the conference play-offs.
Catholic University moved into second place, followed by Elizabethtown in third.
The President’s Trophy was created in the inaugural year of the conference to recognize the best overall athletics program. The Trophy is awarded based on a formula that rewards institutions for regular season conference standings as well as results in Landmark postseason competition.
