Senior Cole Luzins is one of the five Susquehanna University Baseball team members selected by Collegiate Baseball as 2018 Players to Watch according to the newspaper's 2018 season preview issue that was released January 5.
The publication annually selects the top players and teams from each NCAA Division and Junior College level and features them in the preseason issue that is available at newsstands.
Luzins is one of the top returning hitters for the River Hawks as he finished the 2017 season with a .307 average, 46 hits, seven doubles and four home runs. Berger was a .284 hitter with 40 hits, nine doubles and 20 runs batted in.
The other three players are all pitchers for the River Hawks. Rodriguez was 5-2 with a 2.75 ERA and 26 strikeouts, Madden was 4-3 with a 3.24 ERA and 45 strikeouts while Grigas earned the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year award and was 5-3 with a 2.91 ERA and a team-leading 68 strikeouts last season.
Susquehanna led the Landmark Conference with its five selections as Catholic had four players listed and Scranton three.
Susquehanna starts the 2018 season February 23 at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia.
