The Susquehanna University Baseball team has won two of the last four Landmark Conference titles with championship banners from the 2014 and 2016 seasons and after playing in the championship round in 2017, have been selected as the favorites to win the championship in 2018 according to the Landmark Conference preseason poll released this week.

The River Hawks had five players selected as Players to Watch by Collegiate Baseball Magazine including three pitchers form the experienced and deep staff that head coach Denny Bowers will have at his disposal when the season starts Feb. 23 at Christopher Newport.

The schedule is one of the toughest in the region as Susquehanna will face five teams featured in the preseason Top-25 from and five more teams that are in the also receiving votes section of the preseason poll.

The team opens the 2018 season with three games in Virginia and then a pair of games in New Jersey before heading to Florida for an eight-game Spring Training Trip. The Landmark Conference schedule starts Mar. 24-25 with a three-game series with Scranton.
