Trio of SU Football Coaches Volunteer at Charity Football Camp

EASTON, Pa. – Earlier this month, three Susquehanna football coaches – Nate Milne, Derek Pope ’09 and Paul Russick ’11 – volunteered at the prestigious Lauren’s First and Goal Charity Football Camp, held at Lafayette College.

The camp is one of the largest one-day football clinics in the country. This year, a record 2,105 high school student-athletes attended the event which is the primary fundraiser for the Lauren’s First and Goal Foundation.

The day raised more than $85,000 for the charity thanks to camper registrations and donations. For the year, the foundation has raised more than $113,000. All proceeds from the camp go directly to the Foundation’s mission of providing financial support for brain tumor research and cancer services.

Lauren’s First and Goal was created in 2004 by John and Marianne Loose in honor of their 15-year-old daughter Lauren, a pediatric brain tumor survivor. Loose is currently the defensive coordinator at Lafayette College.
