Hotaling Honored by Centennial Conference

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Rookie kicker Spencer Hotaling (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) was named the Centennial Conference’s Co-Special Teams Player of the Week on Sunday in part for his game-winning field goal that lifted SU past Dickinson on Saturday afternoon.

With one second on the clock in the fourth quarter, Hotaling knocked a 19-yard field goal to hand his Crusaders a 20-18 victory over conference opponent Dickinson on SU’s Homecoming Weekend. Earlier in the afternoon, he had also connected on a 33-yarder. Hotaling also booted four kickoffs for 214 yards (53.5 yards per kick).

This season, Hotaling is 3-of-4 on field goals with a long of 33, has 10 kickoffs for 522 yards and leads the team in scoring (14 points – 3 FGs, 5 PATs).

The Crusaders begin a two-game conference road swing beginning Saturday with a 1 p.m. game at Gettysburg.
