SU Football, Be the Match Bone Barrow Drive Sets Records

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna football team hosted its Be the Match bone marrow drive on Friday, April 25 and set records in the process. The drive resulted in 360 people joining the registry, marking the most successful drive in the entire Mid-Atlantic Region.

The drive was held in honor of Malena Brown, the teenage daughter of former SU offensive coordinator and current Dallas Cowboys running backs coach Gary Brown.

Be the Match’s “Get in the Game (GITG)” campaign is focused on using the passion and strength of football in a life-altering way. By raising awareness, educating and recruiting new members into Be the Match registries, families who are searching for matching donors now have hope.

To date, 52 football programs have participated in GITG drives.
