SELINSGROVE, Pa. – At Friday’s eighth Quarterback Club Luncheon of the year, Susquehanna sophomore running back Tim Wade (Doylestown, Pa./La Salle College HS) was named the Wealth Professionals/Gus Weber Player of the Week for his performance last Saturday night against Ursinus.
Against the Bears, Wade carried the ball 26 times for 131 yards (5.0 avg) with a long rush of 28 yards and hauled in a six-yard reception.
This season, Wade has played in six contests and leads the squad in carries (123), rushing yards (480) and rushing touchdowns (3). The sophomore also has 12 receptions for 94 yards and three kickoff returns for 70 yards, totaling 644 all-purpose yards (107.3 per game).
Wade ranks fifth in the Centennial Conference in carries (123), seventh in rushing yards per game (80.0) and ninth in rushing yards (480).

The award is also named in honor of late Susquehanna president Gustave Weber, who was SU’s president for more than 18 years who was also an avid Crusader athletics booster who actually served as head football coach for the final two games of the 1965 season.
SU travels to Lancaster tomorrow to take on F&M at 12 p.m. The Crusaders have won the past two meetings with the Diplomats, including last year’s 24-17 victory.
