Cuevas Named to Senior All-Star Team

GRANBURY, TX – Susquehanna senior offensive lineman Brandon Cuevas (Wharton, N.J./Morris Catholic) has been selected to play in the fifth-annual Tazon de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) Division III Senior All-Star Game on Dec. 21 in Mexico.

The NCAA Division III All-Star roster, known as Team Stars & Stripes, will face Mexican All-Star team Conadeip.  The game will be played at the 36,000-capacity Estadio Tecnologico on the Tec de Monterrey campus.

Cuevas is the third-consecutive player to earn a spot on the Stars & Stripes All-Star roster, following on the heels of Matt Knouse '12 and Ken Schetroma '13. Last year Susquehanna head coach Steve Briggs was also named a member of the coaching staff and traveled to Mexico with Schetroma.

This season, Cuevas has appeared in all nine games thus far and the team captain has helped the team to 1,223 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns. Sophomore Tim Wade (Doylestown, Pa./La Salle College HS) has racked 700 yards and six touchdowns while SU quarterbacks have thrown just seven interceptions all season.
