Murray Named QB Club Player of the Week

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – At the ninth Quarterback Club Luncheon of the fall, Susquehanna senior safety Ian Murray (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone) was named the Wealth Professionals/Gus Weber Player of the Week for his performance against Franklin & Marshall on Nov. 1.

Against the Diplomats, Murray finished with eight tackles – three for loss – with one sack, one forced fumble and one pass breakup. Through eight games this season, Murray boasts 58 tackles, third-most on the squad. He also leads the team with two sacks to go along with 7.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups and three passes defended.

In addition to the partnership with Wealth Professionals, the Player of the Week award is also named in honor of late Susquehanna president Gustave Weber, who was SU's president for more than 18 years. He was also an avid Crusader athletics booster who actually served as head football coach for the final two games of the 1965 season.

The Crusaders travel to McDaniel on Nov. 8 for a 1 p.m. kickoff in Susquehanna's final road game of the season.
