Football Pegged Ninth in Preseason Poll

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Susquehanna football team has been selected ninth in the 2015 Centennial Conference Preseason Poll, announced Wednesday at the Conference's annual media day.

The Crusaders, under first-year head coach Tom Perkovich, received 41 points. Defending champion Johns Hopkins was voted first with 161 points and 17 of the 20 first-place votes. Muhlenberg was second with 144 points and the three remaining first-place votes.

Perkovich was joined by senior captain and 2014 All-Conference player Ryan Pearce (Staten Island, N.Y./Brooklyn Poly Prep/Cornell) at Media Day.

SU went 2-8 last fall with a 2-7 mark in the conference. Susquehanna opens the season Sept. 5 against rival Lycoming at Lopardo Stadium.
