    Quarterback Nick Crusco ran for one touchdown and threw for two more in a span of six minutes and 36 seconds in the first quarter as the Susquehanna University Football team took a 21-7 lead against Gettysburg College Saturday afternoon. The Bullets responded with 22 consecutive points including three field goals to score a come-from-behind 29-21 win on Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium in Gettysburg.

    Susquehanna University will honor one of its most successful football graduates as former lineman and long-time NFL assistant coach Bill Muir '65 will be honored at halftime of the home football game against Dickinson College Saturday afternoon at Amos Alonzo Stagg Field in Selinsgrove. Game time is set for 1 p.m. with the halftime ceremony at approximately 2 p.m.

    Susquehanna hits the road for the first time in 2017 with a challenging matchup against John Hopkins in the first Centennial Conference game for each team. The Blue Jays enter the game ranked #16 in the latest D3football.com poll. The River Hawks opened the 2017 season with a defensive battle and a 7-6 win over Lycoming College in Selinsgrove last Saturday while the Blue Jays opened the season on Friday night and needed to come from behind to post a 32-29 overtime win over Washing ton & Lee.
