Two seniors from the Susquehanna University Football team, Cameron Ott and Diamente Holloway, have been selected as members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team as a First Team selections from District IV.
As First Team honorees, both players are now in consideration for the coveted CoSIDA Academic All-American honors. Those awards will be announced in mid-December.
Ott led the River Hawks with more than 100 yards rushing per game and was the top rusher in the Centennial Conference leading the second place ball carrier by nearly 20 yards per game. He rushed for over 100 yards five times this season with a high of 175 yards in the win over Ursinus. He also had 138 yards and three touchdowns in the victory over McDaniel.
Holloway was the top Susquehanna receiver with 41 receptions and seven receiving touchdowns. He had 490 yards receiving to put his career total over 1,000 yards. His best game of the year was a 10-catch, 132 yard effort in the win over Moravian.
The River Hawks finished with a 7-3 regular season record and qualified to compete in one of the two Centennial-MAC Bowl Series games and will face Albright College Saturday.
