The award is part of the Student-Athlete Affairs program (SAA), sponsored by the NCAA.
April 4, 2011 Second-Annual Mr. SU a Success Susquehanna’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted its second-annual Mr. SU Contest on March 22 and the event was a rousing success, as SAAC raised $500 for the Special Olympics, the Landmark Conference’s charity of choice.
March 23, 2011 Eppleman to be Honored by National Football Foundation Susquehanna senior football player Bobby Eppleman has been named a recipient of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame’s Scholar Athlete Award. The award recognizes student-athletes for their outstanding academic, athletic and community service accomplishments. Epplemen will be honored on Sunday, March 27, at the 14th annual banquet.

January 7, 2011 Susquehanna Community Mourns Loss of Legendary Coach Bob Pittello ’51 The Susquehanna University community is mourning the loss of legendary football coach Bob Pittello ’51, who passed away Thursday night at Pottsville Hospital where he was being treated for blood clots in his arm. Pittello, a member of the SU Sports Hall of Fame, was both a player and coach for the Crusaders for nearly five decades and was active in the collegiate football world for more than 50 years.

October 16, 2010 Crusaders Fail to Hang On vs. Dickinson After rebounding from what had been a 12-0 deficit, the Susquehanna football team put up 24 unanswered points but failed to hold on to its lead against Dickinson, ultimately falling 28-24 on Saturday afternoon at Lopardo Stadium.
