Six to be Inducted as Susquehanna’s 2012 Hall of Fame Class Susquehanna University has announced that six former student-athletes will be inducted into the SU Sports Hall of Fame as members of the Class of 2012. The on-campus induction ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 28, the opening day of Homecoming Weekend.
November 15, 2011 Football Sees Seven Earn All-League Laurels Seven Susquehanna players were named to the All-Centennial Conference football team, announced on Tuesday morning, with four of them earning a spot on the First Team.

August 16, 2011 Athletic Department Announces Additions to Staff The Susquehanna athletic department will welcome five new interns to its staff for the 2011-12 season. Four of those interns will fill coaching vacancies while one will serve as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. There also remains one coaching intern position yet to be filled.
August 1, 2011 Ritter Reels in Preseason Recognition While preseason may not officially get underway for the Susquehanna football team for another 13 days, senior Mike Ritter has already received preseason honors from D3football.com. The wide receiver earned All-America North Offense Second Team honors from the organization.

April 12, 2011 Thirty-Two Student-Athletes Recognized for Academic Accomplishments Thirty-two Susquehanna student-athletes have received Scholar-Athlete Awards for recording the highest grade-point averages (GPA) on their respective teams during the 2010 fall semester. The award is part of the Student-Athlete Affairs program (SAA), sponsored by the NCAA.
April 4, 2011 Second-Annual Mr. SU a Success Susquehanna’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted its second-annual Mr. SU Contest on March 22 and the event was a rousing success, as SAAC raised $500 for the Special Olympics, the Landmark Conference’s charity of choice.
March 23, 2011 Eppleman to be Honored by National Football Foundation Susquehanna senior football player Bobby Eppleman has been named a recipient of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame’s Scholar Athlete Award. The award recognizes student-athletes for their outstanding academic, athletic and community service accomplishments. Epplemen will be honored on Sunday, March 27, at the 14th annual banquet.

October 23, 2010 Crusaders Halted by Blue Jays on Homecoming An early second-half rally by the Susquehanna football team was halted by costly miscues and a high-powered Johns Hopkins offense as the Crusaders dropped a 49-24 decision to the Blue Jays on Homecoming weekend.

January 7, 2011 Susquehanna Community Mourns Loss of Legendary Coach Bob Pittello ’51 The Susquehanna University community is mourning the loss of legendary football coach Bob Pittello ’51, who passed away Thursday night at Pottsville Hospital where he was being treated for blood clots in his arm. Pittello, a member of the SU Sports Hall of Fame, was both a player and coach for the Crusaders for nearly five decades and was active in the collegiate football world for more than 50 years.

October 16, 2010 Crusaders Fail to Hang On vs. Dickinson After rebounding from what had been a 12-0 deficit, the Susquehanna football team put up 24 unanswered points but failed to hold on to its lead against Dickinson, ultimately falling 28-24 on Saturday afternoon at Lopardo Stadium.
