Susquehanna Fifth in President’s Trophy Standings

TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna University is currently in fifth place in the Landmark Conference President’s Trophy standings following the conclusion of the 2014 fall season.

The Crusaders finished the fall with 34.5 points. First-year conference member Elizabethtown is first with 54.5 points, followed by Catholic (48 points), Scranton (39) and Juniata (38.5).

The Trophy is awarded based on a formula that rewards institutions for regular season conference standings as well as results in Landmark postseason competition. The point structure was revised this past summer with different point hierarchies for team and individual sports but the maximum number of points any team can earn is 14. The total number of points each institution earns is divided by the number of Landmark sports sponsored to determine the average.

Susquehanna won the President’s Trophy 2009-10, 2011-12 and 2013-14.
