SUFH Takes on Bermuda: International Competition
SUFH just finished our third day in beautiful Bermuda!
To start the early morning off, we had a great breakfast at the Grotto Bay Hotel in order to get some fuel for our second international competition. We played the Bermuda National Team for the second time and boy was it an interesting game!
A downpour soaked the players from both teams during the majority of the first half which ended in a 0-0 tie. Unfortunately, Bermuda took advantage of some opportunities that led them to scoring two goals in the second half, leaving the final score 0-2.
Sweaty and wet from the rain, we then changed into our suits and ate some chicken wraps for lunch before heading over to Elbow Beach for the afternoon. At the beach just about all of the team took a nice nap, and then we did some team bonding!
For dinner we went to the Swizzle Inn as a team with Pablo [former Argentinian head field hockey coach] and after dinner we headed back over to the awesome AstroTurf field for a training session with Pablo. We worked on a lot of defensive skills and ended with an awesome drill to practice all of our skills we learned.
We're halfway through our trip – it's going way too fast!
