Field Hockey Pegged for Sixth-Place Finish

TOWSON, Md. – The Susquehanna field hockey squad has been selected to finish sixth in the 2014 Landmark Conference Preseason Poll, released Monday.

The Catholic University of America was picked to win the conference with 67 points, including six first-place votes. First-year conference member Elizabethtown was selected second (45 points; two first-place votes) followed by Drew (37 points), Scranton (36) and Juniata (30). Moravian (13) was selected seventh, followed by Goucher (8).

In 2013, the Crusaders finished with an overall record of 9-9, including a 2-4 mark in Landmark play, earning a tie for fifth overall, one spot shy of a playoff berth. Four players were named All-Conference, including midfielder Katherine Millett '16 (Auburn, Maine/North Yarmouth Academy).
