THE STORY: The Susquehanna field hockey team picked up its fourth win of the year with a 3-2 win against St. Mary's (Md.).

WAIT, WHERE DID THEY PLAY? While SU was the home team, the game was played at a neutral site – Notre Dame Prep in Towson, Md.

TEAM RECORDS: SU improves to 4-1 while St. Mary's is 1-5.

THE BEST SINCE…The 4-1 start to the season matches Susquehanna's best start since 2013.

GOAL SCORERS: Hunter Pitman scored two of the River Hawks' three goals with Cayla Spatz adding the third.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Pitman scored less than 12 minutes into the game and 10 minutes later, Spatz added another goal for the 2-0 SU lead. The Seahawks opened the second half with a goal from Mollie Belson but Pitman struck again for a 3-1 cushion. St. Mary's Sydney Cline scored with roughly six minutes to play in the game but it was too little too late.

SOME STATS: SU had 15 shots to the Seahawks' 12 and took 19 penalty corners compared to just seven by St. Mary's. Emily Novakovich and Pitman led Susquehanna with four shots each. Susquehanna starting goalie Morgan Ludlam finished with three saves.
