Susquehanna Names Six Intern Assistant Coaches
SELINSGROVE , PA – Susquehanna University has hired six
assistant coaches as part of its new intern coaching program,
director of athletics Pam Samuelson has announced.
The six assistants are Bob Jazwinski and Joey Stockton (football),
Kate Curran (cross country/track and field), Samantha Kszepka
(softball), Dave Brown (men's basketball) and Mandy Olley (women's
basketball).
Jazwinski is a native of Pittsburgh and a 2004 graduate of
Washington & Jefferson College , where he played offensive
tackle at and was named first-team All-Presidents Athletic
Conference, first-team All-ECAC and first-team Football Gazette
All-Region in both 2002 and 2003, and played in the 2003 Aztec
Bowl.
Stockton is a native of Radcliff , Ky. and was a standout receiver
at Western Kentucky University from 1994 to 1997. He was a
three-time Division I-AA All-American and still holds the NCAA
Division I-AA record for all-purpose yards in a game with 467 as
well as the school single-game record for receiving yards with 276.
He is also the Hilltoppers' career leader in kick return (2,302)
and all-purpose (5,280) yards.
Curran is a native of Springfield , Pa. and is a 2006 graduate of
Penn State University , where she was a member of the cross country
and indoor and outdoor track and field teams. She was a Big Ten
Academic All-Conference selection and served as cross country team
captain in 2005.
Kszepka is a native of New Egypt, N.J. and is a 2004 graduate of
William Paterson University , where she posted a 36-10 record and a
1.50 earned run average for her career and was the 2002 New Jersey
Athletic Conference and ECAC Player of the Year and a third-team
All-American.
Brown is a native of New York City and a 2002 graduate of
Connecticut College , where he played center for two years. Prior
to arriving at Susquehanna, Brown was director of development at
Five-Star Basketball, where his responsibilities included
strengthening the relationships between Five-Star and high school
programs along with recruiting new programs to camp.
Olley is a native of Lafayette Hill , Pa. and is a 2002 graduate of
Old Dominion University where she was a two-year team captain and
helped the Lady Monarchs to four straight NCAA tournament
appearances. Most recently, she spent three years as head varsity
girls basketball coach at Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake ,
Va. , where her team went 20-7 and won a conference championship in
2004-05.
