The Week Ahead in SU Sports

Week of: Jan. 30 – Feb. 5

Men’s Basketball:  The Crusaders (12-7, 6-3) remain on the road this weekend, traveling to Moravian (11-9, 6-3) on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff. Video for that contest can be accessed here. Audio for the game can be found here.

The last time SU played the Greyhounds, the Crusaders squeaked out a 66-65 victory. The Crusaders had a balanced scoring attack, with three players finishing in double-figures.

On Saturday, SU plays at Scranton (14-6, 7-2) at 4:00 p.m. The Crusaders upset the Royals 77-63 on Jan. 20. Women’s Basketball: The Crusaders (4-16, 1-8) play at Moravian (12-8, 5-4) on Friday at 5:30 p.m. Video for that game can be found here. Audio for the game can be found here.

Track & Field:  After participating in the 14th annual Bison Open & Multi at Bucknell last weekend, SU hosts the Crusader Classic at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3.

Several school records were set broken at Bucknell including freshman Laura Alleva (Malvern, Pa. / Great Valley) who ran the fastest 500m in school history in 1:22.41.

Ken Schetroma (Elysburg, Pa. / Southern Columbia Area) broke his school record in the shot put, throwing a distance of 15.14m.
