Men’s Basketball Picked Third in Landmark Preseason Poll

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Suquehanna’s men’s basketball team has been picked to finish third in the 2011-12 Landmark Conference preseason poll, as voted by the head coaches and sports information directors at each institution.

The Crusaders placed third with 48 points, behind second place Catholic (64) and first place Scranton (77). SU finished 7-7 in conference play last season and missed the postseason for the first time since the start of the Landmark Conference.

In his 23rd year, head coach Frank Marcinek welcomes back reigning Rookie of the Year Harley Sellinger (Mill Hall, Pa. / Central Mountain) and 1,000 point scorer Spenser Spencer (Seattle, Wash. / Lakeside).

The first weekend of Landmark play will be Saturday, Dec. 3 as all eight teams square off against their local rival.
