Sellinger Named Landmark Player of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – After leading the Susquehanna men’s basketball team to a pair of key league victories, senior center Harley Sellinger (Mill Hall, Pa. / Central Mountain) has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 16.

Sellinger helped lead the Crusaders (14-9, 6-6 Landmark) to a pair of crucial league victories this past week, beating Catholic 73-67 on Wednesday and Moravian 91-86 on Saturday. Sellinger, who started both contests, shot 82.1 percent (23-for-28) from the field while averaging 24.0 ppg and 11.5 rpg.

At Catholic, Sellinger played 35 minutes and scored 25 points (12-of-16) and grabbed 15 rebounds. Versus Moravian, the center finished with 23 points (11-of-12) and recorded eight boards. Sellinger currently leads the Landmark in rebounds per game (9.9) and field goal percentage (64.9).

With two games remaining on the regular season schedule, Sellinger is now just 27 points away from 1,000 for his career. He currently ranks ninth all-time in rebounds (646), sixth all-time in blocks (78) and has 16 career double-doubles.

Sellinger, along with three of his classmates, will be honored in a pre-game ceremony for Senior Night before Wednesday’s game against Juniata at 7 p.m.
