TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna University has jumped to third in the Landmark Conference President’s Cup winter standings.
The Crusaders were fifth following the fall season but moved up to third after a championship in women’s swimming & diving and runner-up finishes in men’s swimming & diving and men’s track & field. In addition, both basketball squads earned playoff berths and women’s indoor track & field placed third.
Catholic University moved into first place in the standings, followed by Scranton in second.
The President’s Trophy was created in the inaugural year of the conference to recognize the best overall athletics program. The Trophy is awarded based on a formula that rewards institutions for regular season conference standings as well as results in Landmark postseason competition.
