Landmark Announces Members of Sportsmanship Teams

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference has announced the members of the 2015-16 Winter All-Sportsmanship Teams.

Junior Steven Weidlich was SU’s selection for men’s basketball, marking the third-straight year the team captain has been named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Senior Sofia Schedler was the women’s basketball representative for the second year in a row.

Seniors Nick MacDonald-Martell and Julia Doherty were selected for men’s and women’s swimming & diving. Finally, junior Armond Owens and senior Manouchka Paulemont of the men’s and women’s track & field teams were named to their respective All-Sportsmanship Teams.

The All-Sportsmanship Team includes one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective teams. The All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. The student-athletes selected demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. They are ambassadors for the team both on and field the field and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. These student-athletes exhibit respect for themselves, teammate, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators and the greater campus community.
