Men’s Hoops Earns Academic Recognition

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The entire Susquehanna men's basketball team, as well as five individual student-athletes, has been honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

The men's team was named a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award recipient which honors those teams with a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher during the 2015-16 academic year.

In addition, Jason Dietrich, Josh Miller, Dalton Reichard, Tanner Dixon and Steven Weidlich were named to the Honors Court. The Honors Court honors student-athletes who are either of junior or senior standing, boast a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher and must have completed at least one year at their current institution.


In 2015-16, Susquehanna set a program record in wins (24), advanced to the Landmark championship game, earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and spent the majority of the season in the national rankings, finishing 20th in the nation. Head coach Frank Marcinek was named the Landmark Conference Coach of the Year and Miller earned All-District Honors from the NABC.
