Dave Paveletz Is ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Football First-Team Academic All-District Honoree

SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- The College Sports Information Directors of
America honored Susquehanna University's senior running back
Dave Paveletz (Warrior Run, Pa./Hanover Area) as a
2009 ESPN The Magazine academic all-district football team member
on Nov. 5. Paveletz joined the District II first
team of the College Division.
Paveletz sports a 3.50 grade point average as a
finance major at Susquehanna. He currently leads the Liberty League
and ranks fourth in NCAA Division III with 149.4 rushing yards per
game. He led the Liberty in rushing yards in both 2008 and 2007 and
leads the league in that category again this year.
His 1,195 rushing yards in 2009 are 127 yards shy of Susquehanna's single-season record with two games remaining. He already holds SU's career rushing yards and touchdowns records with 4,512 and 46, respectively.
Paveletz smashed the SU single-game rushing record with a 288-yard performance in a 28-13 win over the University of Rochester on Oct. 11, last year. He tied his own school single-game record with four rushing TD in that same game.
Paveletz was an all-Liberty first-teamer the past two seasons and a Liberty all-academic team honoree the past three, including this year. He earned CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine academic all-district second-team honors in 2008.
He is now eligible for CoSIDA academic All-America honors this year, to be announced at a later date.
