ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Susquehanna men’s golf team finished competition at the McDaniel Spring Invitational on Sunday afternoon with an 11th-place finish in the 14-team field.

The Crusaders, playing in their first match of the spring season, shot 671 over the two days. SU opened with a 328 on Saturday but struggled a bit more on Sunday, shooting a 343 as a team.

Franklin & Marshall captured the tournament title with a two-day score of 320.

Senior Ryan Redfern (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) shot an 81 on Sunday to finish with a score of 163 for the weekend (+19) to tie for 24th overall as the top Susquehanna finisher. Junior Patrick DiMartino (East Hanover, N.J./Hanover Park) was just four shots behind with a weekend score of 167. SU’s day-one leader, junior John Jaques (Easton, Pa./Easton Area), did not compete on Sunday.

Susquehanna returns to action on April 7 at Elizabethtown.
