DANIELSVILLE, Pa. – It may have looked and felt more like winter, but the Susquehanna men’s golf team competed in the Moravian Spring Invitational and took home ninth place in the 19-team field.
SU shot a 337 as a team, 16 shots off the first-place Muhlenberg squad, which shot a 321. Just 19 shots separated the top 10 teams.
For the second-consecutive tournament, senior Ryan Redfern (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) was the Crusaders’ top finisher, as he shot an 82 (+10) on the afternoon to earn a 10-way tie for 17th overall.
Just one shot behind Redfern was classmate Adam Puskar (Whitehall, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic), who shot an 83. Junior John Jacques (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) tied for 32nd with his 84 (+12).
The Crusaders have a quick turnaround as they are back in action at the two-day District II Tournament in Hershey on April 3-4.
