Men’s Golf Takes Third Annual SU Fall Invite

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Hosting its annual SU Fall Invite, the Susquehanna men's golf team took home a third place finish in the six-team field.

SU's "A" grouping of Ryan Bruvik (Skillman, N.J./The Hun School), Anthony Canarie (South Portland, Maine/South Portland), Griffin Drury (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), Steve Welkie (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) and Donny DeRemer (Shavertown, Pa./Holy Redeemer) shot a combined 329to place third.

Scranton and Gettysburg tied for first by shooting a 317. Scranton won with a match of cards.

Canarie had the best round of the day for SU by shooting a 78. Bruvik shot the next best score with an 82 on the afternoon.
 
The Crusaders' B squad of Dylan Gladd (Rensselaer, N.Y./Columbia), Kevin Phelan (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte County Day School), Teague Emery (Earlville, Pa./Coventry Christian), Daniel Wilson (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) and Timothy Unkles (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) combined to shoot a 342. Phelan posted the squad's best score with an 84, followed by Emery's 85. Wilson shot an 86 while Gladd posted an 87 and Unkles shot an 88.

SU returns to action on Oct. 6-7 at the two-day McDaniel Invitational.
