Fifth Place Finish for Men’s Golf at Empire 8s

Round Four Results

HERSHEY, Pa. – The Susquehanna men’s golf team finished in fifth place at the 2014 Empire 8 Men’s Golf Spring Championship, held at Hershey Country Club East Course.

No.-8 ranked St. John Fisher took home their fifth-consecutive title, shooting 302 in the final round (1204 total; +68). Scranton finished in second, followed by Stevens and Elmira.

The Crusaders shot 337 on the par 71, 6653 yard course, bringing their four-round total to 1292 (+156).

Dylan Gladd (Rensselaer, N.Y. / Columbia) shot a team-low 81 in the final round, bringing his four –round total to 324 (+40). Donny DeRemer (Shavertown, Pa. / Holy Redeemer) followed with a 91 to bring his total to 343 (+59).

Kevin Phelan (Charlotte, N.C. / Charlotte County Day School) turned in an 88 and finished with a 344 (+60). Anthony Canarie (South Portland, Maine / South Portland) wrapped up his collegiate career with an 85, bringing his four round total to 345 (+61).
