Men’s Golf Ties for Fourth at McDaniel Invite


ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Susquehanna men’s golf team finished tied for fourth in a 15-team field at the two-day McDaniel Fall Invitational.

The Crusaders tied for with McDaniel’s “B” team with a two-day score of 623 (+47) on the par 72, 6713-yard course. McDaniel’s “A” team won the tournament with a two-day team score of 604.

Junior Ryan Bruvik (Skillman, N.J./The Hun School) tied for second overall after shooting a 145 that included a 70 (+1) on Saturday, the lowest round by any SU golfer in either round this weekend. Dan Wilson (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) tied for 22nd with a two-day score of 157 and just eight spots behind him was Steve Welkie (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic), who shot a 159.

Donny DeRemer (Shavertown, Pa./Holy Redeemer) shot a 162 and Dylan Gladd (Rensselaer, N.Y./Columbia) posted a two-day score of 176.

The Crusaders wrap-up their fall season on Oct. 14 at the Lebanon Valley Fall Invitational.
