Men’s Golf Sixth at Empire 8 Fall Championship

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. – The Susquehanna men's golf team finished in sixth place at the two-day Empire 8 Fall Championship in New Hartford, N.Y.

SU shot a 644 (336, 308) over the two days on the par 71, 6792-yard course at the Yahnundasis Golf Club. The second day score of 308 was the fourth-lowest round of the day. St. John Fisher was first as the team shot a 616.

Dan Wilson (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) led the team with a two-day score of 154 (76, 78) to place him tied for sixth overall in the 48 golfer field. Ryan Bruvik (Skillman, N.J./The Hun School) shot a 160 to tie for 16th and William McCafferty (Staten Island, N.Y./Monsignor Farrell) and Dylan Gladd (Rensselaer, N.Y./Columbia) were 24th and 25th, respectively, with scores of 164 and 166. Donny DeRemeer (Shavertown, Pa./Holy Redeemer) shot a 173 and Timothy Unkles (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) finished with a 188.

The Crusaders return to action on Sept. 29 at the Muhlenberg Invitational.
