Men’s Golf Places Ninth at Mason-Dixon Classic

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Susquehanna men's golf team finished ninth at the two-day Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic. SU moved up five places after ending day one in 14th place in the 15-team field.

The Crusaders shot a two-day score of 643 (328, 315; +67) on the par 72, 6713-yard course. Franklin & Marshall won the team title after shooting a 612, including a low round of 307 on Saturday.

Dylan Gladd (Rensselaer, N.Y./Columbia) took home a tie for 31st after shooting a 161 (83, 78). Matthew Schaffner (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) was tied for 35th with a two-day score of 162 with his 75 on Sunday marking the lowest round by a Crusader over the weekend.

Ryan Bruvik (Skillman, N.J./The Hun School) and Daniel Wilson (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) both shot 153 to tie for 39th and William McCafferty (Staten Island, N.Y./Monsignor Farrell) was 46th with his score of 164.

SU returns to action on Monday, Oct. 6 when the team hosts its annual SU Fall Invitational.
