Men’s Golf Competes at Empire 8 Fall Championship


THE HEADLINE: The Susquehanna men's golf team took seventh overall after the completion of the Empire 8 Fall Championship.

THE DETAILS: The fall championships were held at Timber Banks in Baldwinsville, N.Y. on a 6739-yard, par 72 course.

TEAM STANDINGS: The River Hawks shot a 697 (+121) to place seventh. The team shot a 344 on Sunday after shooting a 353 on Saturday. St. John Fisher finished atop the leaderboard with a 608.

SU'S TOP FINISHERS: Robert Johnson led the River Hawks by tying for 14th with a two-day score of 166, including a team-best 82 on Sunday. Alex Wagner tied for 30th (174), Logan Sears tied for 33rd (176) and Matthew Schaffner was 39th (185). Just one shot behind him was Brendan Baloh (186) and Cameron Keener placed 43rd (189).
