William McCafferty shot a 10 over par 81 to lead the Susquehanna University Men's Golf team to a 10th place finish at the Gettysburg College Spring Invitational Thursday afternoon at the Hanover Country Club in Abbottstown.

McCafferty tied for 20th in the final individual standings with Dickinson's Charlie Zane carded a two-over 73 to win medalist honors.

Gettysburg won the team title with a 313 combined scored while Lebanon Valley (316) was second followed by Dickinson (317), Penn St. Berks (318) and Albright (323) rounding out the top five team scores.

Brendan Bolah was the second best Susquehanna finisher at +12, 83 while Matt Schaffner carded a 19-over par 90 and Rob Johnson rounded out the River Hawks scoring with a 26-over par 97.

The River Hawks were originally scheduled to compete in the Lycoming College Tournament Saturday but that event has been postponed and the team will next compete at the Elizabethtown Invitational April 6.
